Anreise zum Erfurter Weihnachtsmarkt
So erreichen Sie den Weihnachtsmarkt bequem und stressfrei
An enjoyable visit to the Christmas market begins with good orientation. Here you will find the most important information for a relaxed and safe stay.
Parking guidance system and P+R
P+R parking spaces are already marked on the access roads into the city. In addition, a parking guidance system will direct you to the various parking garages/underground parking lots in the city. At the same time, arriving guests are constantly informed about the current capacity of the parking garages/underground parking lots.
During the Christmas market, experience has shown that the inner-city parking garages are very busy due to the large number of visitors from all over Germany.
Our tip
To ensure a comfortable and stress-free journey into the city center, use the tram and buses as well as the P+R facilities on the outskirts of the city, which are connected to the local public transport network. Public transport will take you quickly to the city center and the Erfurt Christmas market. Ticket machines are located at the stops.

During the Erfurt Christmas market, there are special regulations for the organization of coach traffic.
- At Domplatz (directly at the Christmas market), there are only stops for coaches for passengers to get on and off.
- The buses are then directed via a guidance system to the various parking areas, in particular to the managed parking lot on Wartburgstraße.
- If the parking lot on Wartburgstraße (51 parking spaces) is not sufficient, additional parking spaces will be made available as an option. The tram stops for line 2, which goes back to the center, are within walking distance.
